This high performance 400 transmission comes with a high performance Fairbanks TransAction Kit installed for firmer shifts and more holding force on all the clutches. The front band is replaced with an Alto Kevlar band. The stock intermediate sprag is replaced with a 34 element sprag with over twice the holding power of the stock sprag. An Intermediate 4 clutch Power Pack is installed. As part of this package deal you get a heavy duty / high performance balanced stall converter with furnace brazed fins and bearing construction for added strength (#7 see below). This torque converter stalls at 2600 RPM for a faster take off. We also have this same converter in 1800 and 2000 stall speeds. You get your choice of a 4 inch 32 spline (bolt-on yoke or not) tail housing or a 9 inch 27 spline tail housing. When ordered with the 9 inch tail housing and 27 spline output shaft your drive shaft may be able to be reused by making it shorter. Good for motors up to 800 horse power (transmission). We ran one of these in our 1200 horse power drag truck for three years before it finally broke a gear and that was without the intermediate Power Pack. (We've tested 400 transmissions against 350 transmissions and the 400 transmissions were faster.)

Some of the other features are Kolene Steels and Red Eagle Power Packs in all three clutch sets, extra hard input shaft and drum and an extra hard forward clutch hub. You get your choice of a 4 inch 32 spline (bolt-on yoke or not) tail housing or a 9 inch 27 spline tail housing. When ordered with the 9 inch tail housing and 27 spline output shaft your drive shaft may be able to be reused by making it shorter. This transmission will replace your 4L60E or T56 transmission on 1998 to 2002 F-Body Camaros and Firebirds with LS1 high horse power nitrous motors. Good for motors to 1200 plus horse power.

#LS1-700. Crankshaft spacer to install an early type TH400 / TH350 transmission on a LS1 type motor. Six longer flywheel bolts included. The LS1 flywheel is reused. 350 Street Transmissions

The 350 Raptor street transmission comes with a high performance Fairbanks TransAction Kit installed. The front band is replaced with an Alto Kevlar band. The stock intermediate roller clutch outer race is replaced with a Sonnax hardened race for added strength. This is the main weak point on the 350 transmission. The low / reverse roller clutch is replaced with a late model 700R4 roller clutch. You have your choice of a 6 inch or 9 inch tail. No trade-in needed on this one. Add a stall converter to this baby and you have yourself a high performance street transmission. Good for motors up to 400 horse power.

This transmission can be yours for $1077.00 without a trade-in. As an added bonus, add a high performance / heavy duty 2600 RPM stall converter for only $218.00 (#7). This converter gives a faster launch and has furnace brazed fins, is balanced and has all bearing construction. The freight on both in most cases is $25.00 to $200.00. This is a 2WD transmission.

Comments When ordering a 4WD TH400 transmission we need to know how far the output shaft sticks out past the case. If you  have a 454 motor the #7 torque converter that comes with the level 2 TH400 will require a dual bolt pattern flywheel. There will be an added $100.00 fee on foreign transmission sales for testing in our test truck.
